Background to Cavell House
Originally the Victorian home of Lord and Lady Belgrave, it later became a residential Girls School and Nurse Edith Cavell (the world war one heroine) spent some of her school days here. Prior to George and Daphne Hamnett becoming proprietors, Cavell House was a childrens home administered by the Assemblies of God Pentecostal Church.

As you drive along [Elton Road] passing the little harp pub, with the bandstand (old victorian open sided shelter), sea and pier on your left, it's at the end of Elton road, on your right, just before you get to sixways roundabout.
Guest House signs are up outside clearly viewable from the road.
